Microsoft preparing Windows Media Center Edition update

Microsoft is due to release Windows Media Center Edition Update (codenamed Emerald) soon. The update update is expected to contain the following:
# 2x HD Tuner supported
# No CableCARD
# No QAM
# DVD Changer
# Xbox 360 Extender support
# Sonic DVD Burning fixes
# Slight improvements in Media Library performance

According to RedHerring, Sales of media center PCs have climbed dramatically over the past month to 43 percent of all desktop PCs sold at retail outlets for the week ending August 20, according to a report released Monday.
