I’m not sure how I found this, and I’m not even sure whether its free or not, but introducing the Royal Linux Media Center, a new Linux based alternative to MythTV.

Gotta give it to the Engadget guys, they know how to be pratical with this DIY PVR box under $1000 USD. Oddly they installed MythTV on it, brave folks
