Interact-TV, a developer of Linux-based home entertainment servers, has unveiled the TellyVizion playback unit that seamlessly accesses and plays digital media from any Telly Home Entertainment Server. TellyVizion will be shown at the September 2005 CEDIA Expo, Booth 4114. TellyVizion is scheduled to start shipping September 2005.

TellyVizion is a playback unit that easily integrates with products in the Telly Home Entertainment Server and allows consumers to easily access entire digital media libraries from any room in the home. A Telly Home Entertainment Server can support multiple TellyVizion units connected throughout the Home Network over built-in Ethernet or 802.11g wireless.

TellyVizion can access and playback all digital media stored on a Telly Home Entertainment Server including saved DVDs, music, photos and recorded programs. Also, with the Personal CD/DVD option, TellyVizion can be used to play or store DVDs or Music CDs directly onto the Telly Server. TellyVizion’s PVR option allows a TellyVizion to record television programming, providing the consumer multiple recording channels.
