According to RedHerring, Sales of media center PCs have climbed dramatically over the past month to 43 percent of all desktop PCs sold at retail outlets for the week ending August 20, according to a report released Monday.

TiVo swings to profit

Investors.com reports that TiVo Inc. said after the market closed Wednesday that it delivered a second-quarter profit as revenue rose 46% , helped by increased subscribers to its digital video recording service, but said it no longer expects to reach sustainable profitability by the fourth quarter.
